Developed a comprehensive blockchain-based credentialing platform for OI EDU, enabling educators to issue verifiable, non-transferable NFT certificates. Built on NEAR Protocol for efficient blockchain operations and IPFS for decentralized storage, the system ensures tamper-proof credential attestation. The platform allows educational institutions to mint unique NFT certificates that are permanently recorded on-chain, providing immutable proof of achievement. Implemented smart contracts for certificate issuance, verification workflows, and non-transferability constraints, ensuring credentials remain tied to the original recipient. The system includes a user-friendly interface for educators to issue certificates and for recipients to verify and display their credentials.

Process Followed

Initiated with requirements analysis for credential verification needs and blockchain architecture design. Selected NEAR Protocol for its low transaction costs and fast finality, ideal for educational credentialing. Designed and deployed smart contracts on NEAR for NFT certificate minting with non-transferability constraints. Integrated IPFS for decentralized storage of certificate metadata and supporting documents. Built React/Next.js frontend for certificate issuance and verification workflows. Implemented Web3.js integration for blockchain interactions and wallet connectivity. Developed verification APIs for third-party credential validation. Created admin dashboard for educators to manage certificate issuance. Conducted security audits for smart contract vulnerabilities. Deployed and tested on NEAR testnet before mainnet launch.
